California saw 5 earthquakes within hours, the day after Lake County, Ohio, was shaken
On Sunday morning, California experienced a series of earthquakes, with four of them registering a magnitude of 3.0 or higher, as confirmed by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The first earthquake, measuring 3.4 magnitude, struck Alum Rock at 3:35 a.m. local time. About two hours later, at 5:56 a.m. local time, South Pasadena experienced a similar magnitude earthquake.
Other cities in California that felt the tremors include:
- Almanor: 3.3 magnitude
- Tom’s Place: 3.0 magnitude
- Antioch: 2.5 magnitude
Additionally, Ohio experienced seismic activity over the weekend, with an earthquake hitting the area outside Madison in Lake County. This 2.6 magnitude earthquake occurred just after 6 a.m. local time on Saturday, as reported by the USGS.
While there were no reports of structural damage, residents informed local news outlets, such as Fox 8, that they felt the tremors within their homes.
