Windows Holographic Update 21H1 Brings the main new feature to Hololens
The update of the first main feature of Windows 10 years has been prepared for launch but it seems that Hololens 2 gets in the main update before the PC. In fact, this update may be packaged more features than Windows 10 May 2021 updates itself. Windows Holographic version 21H1 is now available for download and eventually brings a better version of Microsoft than the Web Edge browser, which is based on Google Chromium, of course.
Microsoft has pushed its chrome-based edge rather aggressive wherever it can, replacing the old edgehtml version as if nothing. This is not only on a PC, of course, and even the mixed platform of reality is getting a new Microsoft Edge web browser. And it’s not just about having a shiny and modern web browser too.
The new edge also allows webxr experience that older web machines cannot support. Perhaps more important, it also allows PWAS or progressive web applications to be installed next to the right Windows application from Microsoft Store. Microsoft has also pushed this web application hard in an effort to fill the gap left by the UWP platform.
Windows Holographic version 21H1 also encourages several changes to the UI operating system settings. One very important change is the power menu that now behaves and looks more similar to what you see in Windows 10 on the desktop. It includes an orange point that shows updates will occur when you restart or turn off the device.
This upgrade also makes handling many users who are less painful, now displaying a list of users on the login screen to save you from typing user names over and over again. For devices in kiosk mode, visitors can also automatically enter, although the default behavior can also be turned off by the device administrator. Windows Holographic 21H1 is available for Hololen 2 and also marks the end of support for the old version of 1903 from two years ago.
