SpaceX managed to launch 60 new Starlink satellites with the 14th mission
SpaceX has placed satellites in orbit to grow Starlink’s constellations for a while now, and this service is available in beta for users in many fields. Sunday morning early, May 9, 2021, SpaceX launched the other Falcon 9 rocket to orbit packed with 60 Starlink satellites. The launch rang without obstacles, and SpaceX managed to restore the first stage rockets on the drone ship at sea.
With a successful mission, Spacex has set another note that has flights 10 with a rocket booster that can be reused. The launch began at Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Station at 2:42 EDT. The spacex launch marked the 14th launch by the company this year. This special booster flies for the 10th flight and the landing effort.
The SpaceX Elon Musk CEO posted on Twitter before the launch noted that this was the first time the Rocket Falcon booster reached the number of two-digit flights. The launch also marked the second time SpaceX has sent a pair of falcon 9 rocket to space in the same week, each carrying 60 Broadband Satellites Starlink.
SpaceX noted that about nine minutes after the elevator, the first stage returned to earth with a successful touch on the drone ship “just read the instructions.” During 2020, SpaceX launched 26 rockets that set a record and with 14 launches already in books in 2021, the company was on track to match or exceed the note.
It is also interesting to note that every launch that occurred in 2021 was carried out with a rocket that had been flown before. Even the Early CRU-2 mission this year was launched to the ISS using rocket previously flown. At present, SpaceX has 1440 Satellite Starlink in orbit and has a plan to launch thousands more.
